My Philosophy of Education

 My Philosophy of Education

Education is the learning skills and knowledge. Through education, the knowledge of the societies, countries and the world passed from  generation to generation and it’s improved by the improvement of the ways of thinking of people in every place and time, so we can say that education is a continuous lifelong process.

For me, education is both the act of teaching knowledge to others and also the act of receiving knowledge from someone, also education is the process of facilitating learning skills, values, morals, beliefs and habits and that through educational methods such as teaching and research.

The Aims of education is gaining abilities, skills, knowledge and morals. Through education the individual will be able to realize the importance of the many values such as  justice, honesty, trustfulness …and that will help in building up the character of an individual, and that will lead to the developments of the society.

I used to teach physics for 5 years in different schools in Lebanon, as a teacher i stimulate the educational environment to students so they can grow mentally, emotionally and socially, and that by creating a good atmosphere in the classroom so the students can meet their full potential, also by providing the students a safe environment so they can share their ideas and thoughts so they can be more creative.

The  teacher’s role is to guide the students and to help them to take their knowledge, he/she should help the students to make choices that make them curious, and this curiosity will direct their learning, besides that the teacher should provide opportunities so the students can practice the skills in the school and outside the school.

Every classroom has its own unique community, the teacher’s role comes here to assist each student in developing their own potential and learning styles. The teacher should provide a curriculum that incorporates the different learning styles and make the content relevant to the students’ lives.

The curriculum should be designed in a way that matches the students’ needs nowadays , and what they should learn and practice in their lives outside the classroom. For example in physics the curriculum should be updated to match the students lives now , by introducing digital labs and technology to it. All of that will help the students to build up better knowledge, thinking and understanding. Beside that , this reflects the role of the students in the educational systems , in which  the students  should learn and  apply all that they have been taught.
